TSU!（「ツ！」と発音）はイスタンブル生まれのギタリスト／作曲家James Hakan Dedeoğlu（ジェームズ・ハカン・デデオウル）が2011年にスタートしたソロ・プロジェクト。アコースティック・ギターを爪弾くアトモスフェリックなアシッド・フォークは2010年代らしい無国籍さをたたえながらも、どこかに中東一の国際都市イスタンブルらしさを漂わせる。2016年の3rdアルバム「Dadebe」はアナログレコード及びデジタル配信で世界リリースされた。またハカンはフリーマガジン「Bant Magazine」の編集長としてイスタンブルの音楽＆アート・シーンに貢献し続けている。

大の日本好きのハカン、今回三度目の来日となるが、TSU!としてライヴを行うのは初めて。VJは同じくイスタンブルからOsman Koç(NOS)、DJにはハカンの奥方でフォトグラファーのAylin Güngörとサラーム海上が友情出演する。またサラーム海上がこの日だけの特別ディナー「Meyhane Table スペシャルプレート」を20食限定で提供。イスタンブルを耳と目と舌で楽しむ夜！

TSU! finally plays at Saravah Tokyo on Friday, Jan/20 20:00!

TSU! is the solo project of James Hakan Dedeoglu. Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Hakan has been writing and performing music since 1998. Also a member of Ricochet, OAK and Canadian band Esmerine, Hakan started his solo acoustic project TSU!, in 2011 focusing on atmospheric and folky instrumental songs.

TSU!’s first album, was recorded in January 2012. Most of the songs were recorded live in Istanbul by Carla Bozulich and John Eischenseer. On the summer of 2012 TSU! went into the studio to record his second album, teaming up with Shahzad Ismaily (Secret Chiefs 3, Ceramic Dog Project, John Zorn) and Gyða Valtýsdóttir (Múm). The second album titled HMS Angora was released on Shahzad Ismaily’s label Figure 8 Records. The album has guest appearances by Carla Bozulich, Aaron Roche, Gyða Valtýsdóttir, Shahzad Ismaily and John Eischenseer.

TSU!’s 3^rd record Dadebe was released in March 2016 by Recordstore Journal Records.

Hakan is also one of the founders of Istanbul based monthly music, art, cinema magazine Bant Mag (www.bantmag.com).

NOS is a collaborative platform founded by NOHlab (Candaş Şişman, Deniz Kader) and Osman Koç, that aims a holistic perception for sound and visuals, by using a custom software which enables sound to directly effect the visuals, and becomes an instrument through the real-time manipulation capabilities that allows artistic interpretation.
